How it works
6 sessions a week for 6 weeks. That's 36 sessions, split into 3 phases that get harder as you go.
- Phase A, Weeks 1-2: Build the fundamentals. Mechanics and form, with less movement.
- Phase B, Weeks 3-4: Soften the hands. Tennis ball work and harder variations. You'll be dropping the ball a lot.
- Phase C, Weeks 5-6: Make it game speed. Lots of movement, reactive work and reps under fatigue.
Every week follows the same template: fundamentals, movement, weak hand, movement, circuits and mechanics. The drills change every phase and the reps go up every week.
What you're training
- Soft hands: catching with minimal cradles
- Release time: less time from catch to release
- Release angles: releasing the ball from any angle
- Game-like stick work: catching and throwing on the run and while dodging
- Specialty movements: shovel passes, behind the backs and one-handed passes
What you get
- 36 sessions laid out drill by drill, with the reps for every week
- A demo video for every drill, so you know what each rep should look like
- 3 wall ball tests (quick stick, splits and one hand) to take before you start and at the end of every phase
- A tracking sheet for your test scores and every session you complete
- The GLE Wall Ball Leaderboard, so you can see where you stack up against other players
Who it's for
Every position. Some drills are filmed with short sticks and some with poles, and everything except the one-hand work can be done with any stick.
All you need is a wall, your stick, a lacrosse ball and a tennis ball. If you have practice that day, do your wall ball before it.
If you're a parent who wants to give your son structure this offseason, or a player who wants a big varsity season this spring, this program is for you.
